Las palmas de gran canaria decalogue call 2026 for a common action on sustainable food systems transformation in the community. A voluntary code of conduct for the mediterranean diet, as a territorial sustainable healthy diet model

A High-Level Technical Meeting, under the auspices of the SFS-MED Platform, organized by the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM), and the Federation of European Nutrition Societies (FENS), in collaboration with the Forum on Mediterranean Food Cultures, as an experts consultation, is the first of a two-part series and will serve to draft the 2026 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Decalogue, as a Call for Common Action towards the co-development of a Voluntary Code of Conduct for the sustainability of the Mediterranean Diet, as a Territorial Sustainable Healthy Diet Model.

The second High-Level Meeting will take place in Rome on November 16, 2026-the newly designated International Day of the Mediterranean Diet-as a high-level side event during the CIHEAM 13th Ministerial Meeting of Agriculture.
